Lake Kennedy Senior Center
Lake Kennedy Senior Center presents the following events:
– MASH fall kick-off show on Friday, Oct. 30, with the Tophats swing band. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes.
– Clogging classes on Mondays for beginners are from 11 a.m. to noon, beginner plus are from noon to 1 p.m., intermediate classes are from 1 to 2 p.m. The cost is $6 members and $10 for all others.

Rotary Park
School’s Out Nature Camp, for ages 8 to 14, is Friday Oct. 30 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Rotary Park Environmental Center is located at 5505 Rose Garden Road. The cost is $30 for Cape residents and $45 for all others.
Kids Kayakkity Yak, for ages 8 to 14, is Thursday, Oct. 29, from 8 to 4 p.m. and teaches kids to properly and safely handle a kayak. The cost is $35 for Cape residents and $53 for all others. The camp takes place at Four Mile Cove Ecologist Preserve at the east end of 23rd Terrace. Call 549-4606 for reservations.
Kayak shack is open for kayak rentals through May, on weekends only, from 8 to 4 p.m.
On Friday, Oct. 30, there will be a moonlight paddle from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $25 per person. Advance registration is required.

South Cape Street Market
Just like the markets that are so popular in Europe, South Cape is preparing for the third season of The South Cape Street Market. On the First Saturday of each month – November through April – over 70 vendors will take to Vincennes Boulevard with booths and tables offering a wide array of items.
A wide variety of craftsmen and vendors are on hand each month. From garden decor to luxury home furnishings, from one-of-a-kind handbags, purses and jackets to antique crocks and old-fashioned quilts, from scented soaps, lotions and oils to handmade pottery, something for everyone at the South Cape Street Market. Tom’s Traveling Tunes will be playing music.
The South Cape Street Markets run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and admission is free. There is plenty of free parking in the surrounding City parking lots located in Big John Plaza, Iguana Mia and Club Square. The South Cape Street Market in only one block east of the Farmer’s Market

Cape Coral CocoNut Festival
The Cape Coral CoCoNut Festival will be celebrated Nov. 13 through 15 This will include ads, entertainment, carnival games, food, contests, crafts and more. The kick-off will start Friday from 5 p.m. to midnight, continue Saturday with bands and activities from noon-midnight and conclude Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. Call 573-3125 for more information.

Southwest Florida Symphony mystery
The Southwest Florida Symphony is asking for help unravelling the clues and solving a mystery on Oct. 30, from, 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Burrough’s Home in downtown Fort Myers. Pumpkin Patch
People of all ages are invited to come out and celebrate fall at the lakeside Pumpkin Patch located at Lee County Park & Recreation’s Lakes Regional Park. This event is being hosted by Wheel Fun Rentals, a park concessionaire who rents unique cycles, pedal boats, kayaks and operates the Whistle Stop Ice Cream Shoppe. The Pumpkin Patch is open to the public on weekends in October and weekdays starting Oct. 9. Schools and groups are also welcome to make weekday reservations.
There is no charge to get into the Pumpkin Patch, however there is a Lee County parking fee of $1 an hour or $5 for all day and games and rides start at $1.
The patch is open all weekends in October until Halloween Day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The patch is open weekdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Group and school reservations are also available during the week. ‘Thriller’ All Night Skate
The Net’s “Thriller” All Night Skate will be from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31. The night will be filled with rollerskating, dancing and games. The attendees will be able to participate in a haunted house within the rink, a zombie face painting, a special Thriller dance presentation will be put on by The Net employees and then a dance session where Ramon Martinez will instruct on the basics of the Michael Jackson’s Thriller dance. Advance purchases are $15. Tickets on the day of will be $18.

National Estuaries Days celebration
In celebration of National Estuaries Days, join the Estero Bay Buddies for free kayaking, birding tours and a beach walk at San Carlos Bay Bunche Beach Preserve on Sunday, Nov. 1 from 8 a.m. to noon. Learn about who lives in an estuary, why estuaries are important and what you can do to protect estuaries.

Calusa Costume Ball
The Calusa Costume Ball will be held on Friday Oct. 30 from 7:30 to 11 p.m. at Tarpon Lodge at 13771 Waterfront Drive in Pineland, The $35 cost includes a drink ticket, appetizers, story telling and entertainment, plus a guided moonlight hike on a historic Calusa Indian mound.
