Sweetbay Supermarkets, local churches to donate to Harry Chapin Food Bank

2 min read

Southwest Florida churches and Sweetbay Supermarkets are teaming up on Sunday, Nov. 15, to help stock the Harry Chapin Food Bank warehouse with food. Sweetbay’s Share the Harvest event encourages church members to go to Sweetbay and donate food needed by the food bank.

Fourteen Sweetbay Supermarket stores from Naples to Sarasota will stock their shelves with additional quantities of the most-needed items to prepare for the one-day event. Trucks and drivers from Harry Chapin Food Bank will deliver the food collected from all the Sweetbay store locations to the warehouse. Sweetbay Supermarket will also contribute an additional five percent more than the value of products donated.

People of all denominations are encouraged to participate in the Nov. 15 one-day effort to Share the Harvest by donating foods from the list posted in any Sweetbay Supermarket or purchasing gift cards and donating them to Harry Chapin Food Bank. More than 20 churches are involved in Share the Harvest and include:
