The Cape Coral-Lee County Public Library, 921 S.W. 39th Terrace, presents:

– Today: Book discussion on “A Christmas Carol,” by Charles Dickens, at 2 and 4 p.m.

– Thursday: Kids read down fines at 3:30 p.m. Take care of fines by reading. For ages 18 and under. Registration required.

– Saturday: Spooktacular, a children’s program, from 2-3 p.m. Get ready for a haunting good time. Wear Halloween costume. Registration required.

– Monday: Craft corner, knitting, crocheting and cross stitching at 3:30 p.m. Registration requested.

– Monday: Kids read down fines at 3:30 p.m. Take care of fines by reading. For ages 18 and under. Registration required.

– Tuesday: Bagels, books and banter at 9:30 a.m. Registration requested.

– Tuesday: English Cafe at 6 p.m. Participants may start at any time and advanced registration is not necessary.

– Tuesday: Chess, ages 13-18, at 5:30 p.m.

– Oct. 29: World Tour from 2-4:30 p.m. Come for an out-of-school day. Sign-up beginning Thursday at the YS reference desk for 15-minute time slots.
