Cape Coral-Lee County Public Library Art Gallery

In honor of Latino/Hispanic Month, the Cape Coral-Lee County Public Library Art Galley will feature an exhibit of works from many of Southwest Florida’s finest Latino artists now through Oct. 30.

Cape Coral Arts Studio

The Cape Coral Arts Studio, 4533 Coronado Parkway, presents:

– Now-Oct. 30: Marcia Hopkins-York exhibits her newest work, “Observations of Self & World,” in the Fine Arts Gallery.

– Now-Oct. 30: Renzos Avila exhibits in the main lobby of the Cape Coral City Hall.

– Nov. 16-Dec. 19: Fall class semester. Still time to sign up.

Cape Coral Art League

The Cape Coral Art League, 516 Cultural Park Blvd., presents:

– Tuesdays: Open portrait sessions with a costumed model, but not an instructor, from 9 a.m.-noon. Participants work in whatever medium they prefer. Supply of easels is limited, so bring own, plus a drop cloth, and whatever other materials are needed. Cost is $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents. Harbour View Gallery

Harbour View Gallery, 5789 Cape Harbour Drive, Unit 104, welcomes watercolor painter Phil Hilton and Beverly Fox, jewelry artist, as October’s featured visiting artists. The artwork will be on display throughout the month.

Harbour View Gallery also presents the new, 13-part Pink Ballet Series of Roseate Spoonbills in oil by Clare E. Candelori, co-owner and founding member artist.

Lee County Commission

Lee County Commissioner Tammy Hall is giving local artists an opportunity to display their work in her office. This month we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with The Latino Artists Association. Four local Hispanic artists will display various acrylic and oil paintings in the downtown Fort Myers office until Thursday. The public is welcome to view the artwork and learn more. Other artists will be featured every four to six weeks. Hall’s office is on the First Floor of the Old County Courthouse, located at 2120 Main S. in Fort Myers.

HOWL Gallery

The HOWL Gallery presents “Southwest Florida Lives!” This is a non-juried group exhibit showcasing the best new and existing talent in Southwest Florida. Featured artists include Daniel Calvert, Andrya Campbell, Heather Clough, Michael Damico, T.C. Dorler, Veron Ennis, Doug Heslep, Andy Howl, Kyle Jackson, Matt Lackey, Chet Loggins, Eric Lorette, Eve Lynch, Ryan McIntosh, Don Murphy, Eustaquio Pacot, Crissy Penuel, Scott Snyder and others.

HOWL Gallery is a new hybrid art gallery that features the best local and national contemporary artists, and mixes in pop culture such as graphic novels and designer art toys with a custom tattoo studio. The gallery rotates art shows monthly and participates in the Downtown Fort Myers Art Walk on the first Friday of each month. Gallery openings are held from 7-9 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month.
