‘Tribute to a Soldier’

Paradise Tiki Hut plans to hold “Tribute to a Soldier” benefits every Wednesday through Nov. 4, with a presentation at ECO Park on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11. Proceeds from specials during the events will benefit the local Tribute to a Soldier campaign. Paradise Tiki Hut is located at 1502 Miramar St. For information, call 540-8454.

Pink Tie Blues

The Lee Memorial Health System Foundation announces that the Pink Tie Blues event, with honorary chair Sunny Lubner, will take place from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, 2301 First St., Fort Myers. Local celebrities and artists have created personalized “pink ties,” which will be up for bid in the silent auction. The event will champion women’s cancer care at Lee Memorial Health System’s Regional Cancer Center. Tickets are $75 per person and include a $25 Red Salon gift certificate with each ticket purchased. Fall FM Radio Pledge Campaign

WGCU 90.1 listeners who participate in the Fall FM Radio Pledge Campaign, running Friday-Oct. 23, will also be contributing to the Harry Chapin Food Bank. For every pledge made, The Walmart Foundation will donate $5 to the food bank. The Harry Chapin Food Bank solicits, collects and stores quality food for distribution to needy people through a network of more than 160 local nonprofit agencies, who provide food to more than 20,000 people monthly. For every dollar donated, $6 in food value goes back to the community. Family Day

The staff, students, families and friends of Eden Autism Services Florida will hold a Family Day from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at 2101 County Barn Road, Naples, to kick off the creation of its Garden at Eden. Attendees will be able to participate in the planting of the garden’s final fruit trees and enjoy a light lunch. Capt. John Puig, president of Collier County Fruit Growers, will give demonstrations on the proper planting of fruit trees and field design and irrigation and will be available for questions. The garden is being created as an urban farming project to provide older teen and adult Eden students with vocational skills. Radiothon

Cat Country 107.1 will broadcast live from Miromar Outlets from 6 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday to beam stories of hope and caring to sympathetic listeners who call in pledges that will benefit Barbara’s Friends and The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, part of the Lee Memorial Health System. The day will kick off with McGee and Melanie broadcasting, followed by Super Logan and then Mark the Shark will finish out the day, receiving donations from title sponsor Mel’s Diner, the Fort Myers Moose Lodge and The Rotary Club. Pink Tea Party

Pandora at the Mercado will host a Pink Tea Party on Saturday. Join Pandora for a fun-filled day of giveaways during the afternoon tea and cookies event benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure Southwest Florida Affiliate. Pandora has created a special pink ribbon breast cancer charm and a portion of the proceeds from each will benefit the local Korman affiliate. All Aboard Against Breast Cancer

Bayfront Bistro, a waterfront restaurant located at the Snook Bight Yacht Club and Marina on Fort Myers Beach, announces a special lineup of signature cocktails in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Four dollars from each drink sale will be contributed to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Each drink comes in specially-designed hurricane glass commemorating Snook Bight’s “All Aboard Against Breast Cancer” events and will be available exclusively in October for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Bayfront Bistro also will host a benefit wine dinner and live auction Nov. 6 as part of Snook Bight’s Boat Show and Waterside Festival. The festival continues the next day with a complimentary event open to the public at the marina. Waterside activities include a boat show, in-water boat show and demonstrations by Sea Ray Yachts, as well as hands-on demonstrations of all-new piloting systems from MerCruiser.
