‘Tribute to a Soldier’
The Paradise Tiki Hut plans to hold “Tribute to a Soldier” benefits every Wednesday through Nov. 4, with a presentation at ECO Park on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11. Proceeds from specials during the events will benefit the local Tribute to a Soldier campaign. The Paradise Tiki Hut is located at 1502 Miramar St. For information, call 540-8454.
Vette/Chevy Show
Corvettes on the Gulf presents the Vette/Chevy Show, an all years Corvette show, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Roger Dean Chevrolet, 101 S.W. Pine Island Road. There will be food and music. Proceeds to benefit Hope Hospice. Entry fee on day of show is $25. Public is free.
Pink Tie Blues
The Lee Memorial Health System Foundation announces that the Pink Tie Blues event, with honorary chair Sunny Lubner, will take place from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 18 at Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, 2301 First St., Fort Myers. The Bunch, featuring Ernie Cantu, will provide entertainment. Culinary delights will be provided by Lee Roy Selmon’s and Irresistible Confections. Total Wines will provide the cocktails. Local celebrities and artists have created personalized “pink ties,” which will be up for bid in the silent auction. The event will champion women’s cancer care at Lee Memorial Health System’s Regional Cancer Center. Tickets are $75 per person and include a $25 Red Salon gift certificate with each ticket purchased. Family Fun Day
Autism Speaks and PAWS for Love Assistance Dogs presents Family Fun Day from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at The Butterfly Estates, 1815 Fowler St., Fort Myers. Face painting, silent auctions and raffles, tour the conservatory, kiss the puppies, pin the tail on the dog. Lots of fun activities for children.
