Cape Coral Library Art Gallery

Art Gallery. Honoring Latino/Hispanic Month, our gallery will feature an exhibit of art works from many of our finest Latino artists from Southwest Florida. The exhibit will run from through Oct. 30.

Harbour View Gallery

Harbour View Gallery welcomes Phil Hilton, watercolor painting and Beverly Fox, jewelry artist, as the October 2009 featured visiting artists.

An opening exhibition wine and cheese reception will be held at the gallery located at 5789 Cape Harbour Drive, Unit 104 at Cape Harbour in Cape Coral on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 6 to- 8 p.m. The reception is open to the general public. Artwork will be on display for the month of October.

Harbour View Gallery presents the new 13 part Pink Ballet Series of Roseate Spoonbills in oil by Clare E. Candelori, Co-Owner and Founding Member Artist.

A reception, open to the public, will be held on October 9th from 6 to 8 pm.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Art Walk to celebrate 1st Anniversary

The monthly Art Walk will celebrate its One Year Anniversary on Friday, Oct. 2, in the Downtown Fort Myers River District. The October Art Walk will feature new art exhibitions, live music, a one-act play and a huge after party. For information: www.fortmyersartwalk.com

Hispanic Heritage Month in commissioner’s office

Lee County Commissioner Tammy Hall is supporting local artists by giving them an opportunity to display their artwork in her Fort Myers office.

This month we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with The Latino Artists Association. Four local Hispanic artists will display various acrylic and oil paintings in Commissioner Hall’s downtown Fort Myers office until Oct. 22. The public is welcome to view the artwork and learn more about

Other local artists will be featured every four to six weeks. Commissioner Hall’s office is on the first floor of the Old County Courthouse at 2120 Main Street in downtown Fort Myers.

Portrait and Figure Painters Society

The Season of the Arts from Florida Gulf Coast University’s Department of Visual and Performing Arts continues at the Art Gallery through Oct. 9. p.m.

HOWL Gallery

HOWL Gallery presents “Southwest Florida Lives!” group how. This is a non-juried group exhibit showcasing the best new and existing talent in Southwest Florida. Featured artists include Daniel Calvert, Andrya Campbell, Heather Clough, Michael Damico, T.C. Dorler, Veron Ennis, Doug Heslep, Andy Howl, Kyle Jackson, Matt Lackey, Chet Loggins, Eric Lorette, Eve Lynch, Ryan McIntosh, Don Murphy, Eustaquio Pacot, Crissy Penuel, Scott Snyder and others.

HOWL Gallery is a new hybrid art gallery that features the very best local and national contemporary artists, and mixes in pop culture such as graphic novels and designer art toys with a custom tattoo studio. The gallery rotates art shows monthly and participates in the Downtown Fort Myers Art Walk on the first Friday of each month. Gallery openings are held on the third Saturday of each month from 7 to 9 p.m.
