Cape Coral Yacht Club
Swim ‘N Sing at the Yacht Club Pool is Saturday. Sept. 26 from 6 to 10 p.m. for all ages. Music for ages 13 and older will be provided by DJ Tommy Tunes. Admission is $5 for ages 13 and older $3 for ages 12 and under.

Lake Kennedy Senior Center
Lake Kennedy Senior Center at 400 Santa Barbara Blvd., presents the following events for the month of August:
A tour to the Renaissance Vinoy Resort and St. Petersburg Pier on Friday, Sept. 18. We will leave the center at 7:30 a.m. The cost $68 per member and $78 per non-member.
There will be dinner and show on Friday, Sept. 25 with Billy Dean & Dawn. All performances are held in the ballroom with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The price is $22 per member and $27 per non-member. Reservations are required and can be made at 574-0575.

Rotary Park
Rotary Park Environmental Center at 5505 Rose Garden Road presents:
A bird house making workshop on Friday, Sept. 18 from from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The cost is $35 for Cape residents and $53 for non-residents.
Florida Yards and Neighborhoods Garden Tour, for ages 16 years older, is Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost $10 for residents and $15 for non-resident. Registration is required.
Gardening for butterflies, for ages12 older, is Friday, Sept. 25 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for Cape residents and $15 for non-residents. Registration is required.
Labrador Fest will be held at Four Freedoms Park on Saturday, Sept. 26. from 8 a.m. to noon. This event is to raise funds and awareness for Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida and Wagging Tails Dog Park. Hickey’s Creek Mitigation Park
Astronomy for amateurs is Sept 18 at 8 p.m. This program is designed to show beginning astronomers how to easily find stars, constellations and planets. Bring water and a lawn chair or something to sit on. Meet in the parking lot. This program is free with paid parking, depending on the weather. Call Kelly to register at 693-2690.
A Caloosahatchee to Hickey’s Creek kayak trip is set for Thursday, Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This six hour kayak trip begins and ends at Caloosahatchee Regional Park. Meet at the campground entrance at 19190 North River Road. The cost is$40 per person. Register online at: www.leeparks.org.
Estero
Kayak with your canine
If any one and their dog are experienced kayakers this trip is for you. Meet at the kayak launch across from Dog Beach on Estero Blvd. No dogs over 100 pounds and permitted and only one dog is allowed per kayak. The first date for this program is Wednesday, Sept. 16 from from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost is $40 per person and includes all the necessary human gear. Dogs kayak for free but must supply their own life vests. To register go to: www.leeparks.org or call 533-7440 at least 48 hours in advance. If you have a boat the cost is $20 per person.
