Alcoholics Anonymous

Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous
Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous is a 12-step program for individuals suffering from food obsession, overeating, under eating and bulimia.
The meeting are held at Cape Christian Fellowship, 2110 Chiquita Blvd. Sundays at 6:30 p.m.

MS support group
The Multiple Sclerosis support group meets the first Sunday of each month at Cape Coral Hospital, meeting room A (just off the main lobby) from 3 to 4:30 p.m. For information call Rick at 541-0268 or Kevin at 542-2549
The MS support group also meets at St. Hilary’s Episcopal Church, 5011 McGregor Blvd., corner of Colonial at 7 p.m., the third Thursday of every month. For information call 574-4271.
Military Family support group
Lee County Military Family Support meets the fourth Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. at Bob Evans on Del Prado Boulevard. Call Barb at 214-1727 for more information.
Alzheimer’s caregivers support meetings
The Alzheimer’s Support Group meetings include an opportunity for caregivers to meet others who are facing similar challenges and to learn more about Alzheimer’s disease and effective coping strategies.

NAMI support groups
NAMI Connections is a support group for adults who have been diagnosed with any mental illness. Meetings are held Monday nights at Lee Memorial Hospital in med. room 2, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday nights at Lee Memorial Health Ruth Cooper Campus at 2789 Ortiz Ave. in Fort Myers from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and Thursday afternoons at the United Way House at1150 Cultural Parkway in Cape Coral from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
ACT
ACT offers the following support groups:
Sexual assault support group-support groups and individual counseling for adult survivors of sexual assault/abuse. Domestic violence-support groups and individual counseling for adult victims of emotional, verbal or physical abuse. The 24-hour hotline is 239-939-3112.
Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group
The Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group meets the third Friday of the month at 1 p.m. at HealthPark, Room 1A. For additional information call 542-7430 or e-mail aptbum@comcast.net
Amputee Support Group
The Amputee Support Group meets once a month at the 5th floor class room at Lee Memorial Hospital. Anyone interested in attending can call Bob Nagle at 464-6420. This is a support group for recent or long-time amputees and caregivers.
