Civic Association
The Cape Coral Civic Association will provide a candidates forum Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the Cape Coral Yacht Club, in the main ballroom from 7-9 p.m. The forum will be for candidates who will be in the Sept. 15 primary election. However, all candidates and their supporters are encouraged to attend and hand out campaign literature and meet with the public.
All candidates will have an opportunity to introduce themselves. As customary, Civic asks the candidates provide their favorite baked goods or cookie for refreshment during the mix and mingle time after the forum.
The second forum dubbed “Survivors Night” will be held on Oct. 27, same time place for the candidates who will be on the Nov. 3, general election ballot. This meeting will be a mirror of the first meeting.
Civic forums are provided free of charge as a public service to the information and education of the general public.

VFW Post 8463
The Men’s Auxiliary of VFW Post 8463, Cape Coral, is looking for new members and you don’t have to be a veteran to join. Proof that one person of the immediate family is a member or has been a member of the military is all that is required.
Join the auxiliary and enjoy the benefits of membership such as Friday night dinners with entertainment and dancing. Mem-bers also have access to the bar and many other events throughout the year.
