Tarpon Point Marina to host Annual McFlat’s Invitational
The 5th Annual McFlat’s Invitational will be held Sept. 4-5 at Tarpon Point Marina, 5902 Silver King Blvd.
The snook and redfish fishing tournament benefits the Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Florida,
Boats will enter the water at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 5 for a shotgun start and weigh-in will close at 4 p.m. A dinner banquet and awards ceremony will follow the event at 6 p.m., which will include music, live/silent auction, open bar and filet and lobster dinner.
Registration is $275 per angler.
The Ronald McDonald Kids’ Fishing Tournament and luncheon will take place from 10 a.m.-noon Sept. 5 at Tarpon Point Marina with a minimal donation to benefit the Ronald McDonald House.
The first 100 preregistered children will receive a fishing rod, T-shirt and trophy, and will have a special show and lunch with Ronald McDonald.
Known as “The House That Love Built,” the Ronald McDonald House program has been helping seriously ill children and their families for decades.
Located on the campus of The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, the Ronald McDonald House is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to meet the needs of families in the five-county region.
