Paradise Tiki Hut

The Paradise Tiki Hut plans to hold Tribute to a Soldier benefits every Wednesday, now through Nov. 4, with a presentation at ECO Park on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11. Proceeds from specials during the events will benefit the local Tribute to a Soldier campaign. The Paradise Tiki Hut is located at 1502 Miramar St. For details, call 540-8454.

Golf tournament

Golfers in Southwest Florida have an opportunity to participate in a golf outing while benefitting the Harry Chapin Food Bank. Blu Sushi is holding a tournament Sept. 20 with proceeds going to the food bank’s “Feeding the New Hungry” program. The tournament will be held at The Club at the Renaissance, 12801 Renaissance Way, Fort Myers. Registration is limited to 36 foursomes. Cost is $150 per person; players must have a PGA handicap. All players will receive a certificate for a complimentary two-night Caribbean cruise for two from Fort Lauderdale to Nassau including state room, all onboard meals, entertainment and activities. A pairings party will be held from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 19 at Blue Sushi on McGregor Boulevard. Shotgun start will begin at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 20. Players will be invited to participate in the complimentary cookout and awards presentation at Blu Sushi Gulf Coast Town Center, beginning at 1 p.m. Individuals are invited to visit any Blu Sushi location with two items of nonperishable food to receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win Blu Sushi gift certificates from now through Sept. 15. Massage for the Cure

On Sept. 15, Massage Envy will team up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure to help win the fight against breast cancer by hosting Massage for the Cure. During the one-day event, Massage Envy clinics will offer $35 one-hour therapeutic massage sessions, with $10 from each massage being donated directly to the Fort Myers-Naples affiliates of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Additional donations will also be accepted and all proceeds collected will go to the local community. The event is open to the public and requires an appointment at any of the Southwest Florida Massage Envy clinics. Reservations began Saturday. All proceeds from will support breast cancer education, screening and treatment initiatives in communities across the United States. Appointments can be made now. Walk Now for Autism Speaks

The Southwest Florida Walk Now for Autism Speaks kickoff receptions will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 10 at Charlotte Regional Medical Center Plaza, 4th Floor, Punta Gorda, and 6-8 p.m. Sept. 24 at Hodges University, Community Room 364, Fort Myers. Both are free, open to the public and include cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Reservations are required. Autism Awareness Night in Charlotte

Autism Awareness Night will be held Saturday at the Charlotte Stone Crabs Charlotte Sports Park. First pitch at 7:05 p.m. and features post-game fireworks.
