Cape Christian Fellowship

“Authentic Worship” is the message to be given by Pastor Jerry Sprague this weekend. Attend one of three contemporary worship gatherings available for your convenience. Saturday, 5 p.m., and Sunday at 9 or 11 a.m. There are classes for children and youth and a nursery provided during all worship gathering.

DayBreak Fellowship

Vacation Bible School (VBS) hosted by DayBreak Fellowship will take place June 15-19 with an Australian-themed event for children in kindergarten through 5th grades. Boomerang Express will feature outback guides teaching kids through seven fun rotation sites including Worship Rally Central, Bible Study Outback, Music Opera House, Crafts Crossing, Missions Harbor, Recreation Rock, and G’Day Cafe. The event takes place each evening from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Freida B. Smith Special Populations Center, 400 Santa Barbara Blvd.

First Baptist Church of Cape Coral is offering several community outreach meetings each week. All meetings are open to the public and are held on the First Baptist Church campus at 4117 Coronado Parkway, Cape Coral. Included weekly are the following:

n Al-Anon Meetings: For family and friends of alcoholics, Tuesdays -10 a.m.;

Grace Baptist Church

Grace Baptist Church in Cape Coral will be holding its monthly Buddy Break for special needs children (VIPS).

Saturday, June 6, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Buddy Break is a free respite program that provides special needs children a few hours of fun while parents and caregivers can enjoy some time for themselves.

The program is open to children who have a physical, cognitive, medical or hidden disability, ages 4-17 and their siblings (4 years old to 5th grade). VIP kids are paired with a “Buddy” who is a trained and screened volunteer and will have fun playing games, hearing children’s stories and more.

Call 772-1400 to speak to one of the coordinators. A reservation is required. Parents are asked to attend a brief orientation.

This program is in partnership with Nathaniel’s Hope (www.NathanlsHope.org).

Kehilat Aish Kodesh

Kehilat Aish Kodesh, a synagogue affiliated with the Ysharim International movement from Sfat, Israel, is offering services at 1490 NE Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, on Saturday mornings at 10:30 a.m.

KAK is Torah-centered, Shabbat Shomer and keeping all the festivals of Leviticus 23.

KAK offers a safe place for interfaith married couples and families to come and worship God together without demands of conversion by either party.

New Song Ministries

New Song Ministries, based in Cape Coral, will set its first service for this Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. at 1490 NE Pine Island Road, 7D.

New Song Ministries is led by Mitch Fincel, area guitar instructor, who is also a key part of the local faith band Blood Washed.

Services will be held on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings (10:30 a.m.) and will focus on the contemporary Christian music genre as the vehicle of worship and expression with minimal homiletic oratory on Saturday evening and none on Sunday morning. For more information, call 333-8084

Trinity Lutheran Church

Free Vacation Bible School will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church & School, June 22-26. Hours are, Monday June 22, 8:30 a.m.-noon; Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m.-noon. Children entering Kindergarten Fall 2009 up to 14 are invited to attend.

Camp E.D.G.E.: Experience and Discover God Everywhere will offer children an adrenaline-filled and creative Bible based program that puts the extreme in their faith journey.

Turning Point Church

The Turning Point Church, presently meeting in the William Austen Youth Center at 315 S.W. 2nd Ave. in Cape Coral will honor Evangelist Hoyt and Karen Watson on Sunday June 14, at 10 a.m. The Watson family has preached and labored in this area for over 20 years. The congregation extends a special invitation to the area to attend this service.
