Cape Coral-Lee County Public Library
June’s roster of activities at the Cape Coral-Lee County Public Library offers topics for all ages. The following activities are free to the public:
– Craft Corner: Knitting, Crocheting and Cross-Stitching 3:30 p.m. Mondays, June 1, 15 and 29.
– Chess: 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays, June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.
– English Cafe: 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays, June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30; 10 a.m. Fridays, June 5, 12, 19 and 26. Practice English with English Cafe, a free informal, conversation session for adult ESOL and ESL students.
– Employment Workshop: 1 p.m. Thursday, June 11. Looking for a job and need help? Come to this workshop and learn strategies for finding a job, how to prepare your resume, job interview tips and job searching skills.
– Bagels, Books and Banter 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 23.
– Craft Corner: Scrapbooking – Celebrate Dads and Grads! 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27.
– Father’s Day Story and Craft: 4 p.m. Friday, June 19. A special Father’s Day story and craft for families and students of all ages. Parents welcome. Registration is requested.
– Kids Read Down Fines: 6:30 p.m. Mondays, June 1, 8, and 29, 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays, June 16 and 30. Take care of library fines by reading! Children and teens can earn a $2 coupon for every 15 minutes of reading during allotted time in the designated area of the library. For ages 18 and under.
