Cape Yacht Club

The Cape Coral Yacht Club offers the following camps for the month of June:

– Beginners fishing camp for tykes (ages 5-9), Monday to Friday, June 15-19, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Resident fee is $75; non-resident, $80

– Youth sailing (ages 8-17) Monday-Thursday/Monday-Friday, June 22-July 2, 8:30 a.m.-noon. Resident fee is $175; non-resident, $185

– Kids kayak camp (ages 9-17), June 22-26, 1-4 p.m. Resident fee is $100; non-resident, $110

– Powerboat camp (ages 9-17), June 29-July 2, 1-5 p.m. Resident fee is $150; non-resident, $165

– Beach bums exploration (ages 4-14) Monday-Friday, June 29-July 3, 1:30-3:30 p.m. Resident fee is $50; non-resident, $60

North Fort Myers

Teen Camp

Teens that are too young to work, but too old for a baby sitter should try Teen Camp located in North Fort Myers.

The camp is designed with the teenager in mind. Some of the activities and trips include: swimming, volunteering, shopping, skating, kayaking, arts and crafts, team building, career exploration, watersports and barbecues.

The Teen Camp is open for ages 12-16 and runs June 22 through Aug. 14. The hours of camp are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; scheduled programs take place between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. The North Fort Myers Teen Camp is located at the North Fort Myers Community Park, 2021 N. Tamiami Trail, behind the North Fort Myers library.

The registration fee for Teen Camp is $60 per week and this price includes lunch.

Those registering for Teen Camp on the Web site, www.leeparks.org, will receive 10 percent off the registration fee. The camp price per week is $54 if registered online.

Baseball camp at Hammond Stadium

Parents looking for a few days of respite during the summer need look no further than Hammond Stadium in south Lee County. Miracle Baseball will hold its three-day youth baseball camps in June and July.

Kids from 6-12 will learn how to run like Ben Revere, hit like Steve Singelton and pitch like David Bromberg.

This year’s camp at Hammond Stadium, for ages 6-8, will be from June 24-26 and camp for ages 9-12 will be July 27-29. Each camp runs from 9 a.m.-noon each day. A special one-day advanced camp for ages 13-18 is scheduled for July 20..

For $115, each child will receive breakfast of donuts and juice, lunch, a camp T-shirt, a baseball cap, graduation certificate, a ticket to each of the Miracle games on the corresponding camp days and professional teaching experience from Miracle players and coaches.
