June programs at the Cape Coral Library
Next month’s roster of activities at Cape Coral-Lee County Public Library offers topics for all ages. The following activities are free to the public:
ADULTS
Craft Corner
Knitting, Crocheting & Cross-Stitching, 3:30 p.m., Mondays, June 1, 15 and 29.
Bring your ideas to light and needle a handmade treasure. Materials will be provided, or bring your own project to work on. Registration is requested.
Chess Anyone?
Meets at 5:30 p.m., Tuesdays, June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30
Rise to the challenge and join the fun. Everyone is welcome. Bring a personal chess set or use one from the Library.
English Caf
Meets at 6:30 p.m., Tuesdays, June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30; and at 10 a.m. Fridays, June 5, 12, 19 and 26
Practice your English with English Caf, a free informal, conversation session for adult ESOL and ESL students. Each 90-minute session provides adult learners an opportunity to practice English with native speakers.
Employment Workshop
Meets at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 11
Are you looking for a job and need help? Come to this workshop and learn strategies for finding a job, how to prepare your resume, job interview tips and job searching skills.
Bagels, Books and Banter
Meets at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 23
Join other book lovers and talk about a favorite book that you’ve read. Relax over coffee and bagels with old and new friends. Registration is requested.
Craft Corner
Scrapbooking – Celebrate Dads and Grads!, 10 a.m., Saturday, June 27
Join us for ideas to enhance pages for Father’s Day and graduations. Bring photos to crop and papers of your choice. The library will provide paper cutters, tape, scissors, and corner rounders. Registration is required.
FAMILY
Father’s Day Story and Craft
Meets at 4 p.m., Friday, June 19
Please join us for a special Father’s Day story and craft for families and students of all ages. Parents welcome. Registration is requested.

Kids Read Down Fines
Group meets at 6:30 p.m.m Mondays, June 1, 8 and 29; amd at 3:30 p.m., Tuesdays, June 16 and 30
Do you have library fines? Take care of them by reading! Children and teens can earn a $2 coupon for every 15 minutes of reading during allotted time in the designated area of the library. For ages 18 and under.
