Ronald McDonald House Charities announces scholarship winners
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida awards scholarships to local high school seniors who face limited access to educational opportunities. RMHC of SWFL adopted the scholarship program in 2008 with a matching grant from RMHC Global. Students are selected based on demonstrated academic achievement, financial need and community involvement. RMHC of SWFL adopted the scholarship program in 2008 with a matching grant from RMHC Global. The Scholarship Selection Committee is comprised of local individuals representing McDonald’s owner/operators, education, healthcare, business and community volunteers.
In 2009, RMHC of SWFL will we are very pleased to award scholarships to thirteen (13) outstandingwell deserving recipients. The following student will receive $1000 each year for four (4) years.
Monica Wilson, who attends Cypress Lake High School, will receive $1,000 for each of four years. . The following students will receive a one-time (1) award of $1,000: . Joshua Byerly, Auburn Presbyterian Academy; Yiset Merino, Ida Baker High; Joel Blikstad, home school; Jillian Palmer, BishopVerot High; Jose Martinez, Immokalee High; Sergio Martinez, Immokalee High; Amalio Montez, Immokalee High; Aaron Spero, Moore Haven High; David Ayora, Golden Gate High; Alysia Finger, Naples High; Justin Bricker, Palmetto Ridge High and Andre Nichols, St. John Neumann High.
