Heroes in Action exhibit at Imaginarium Hands-on Museum & Aquarium
The Imaginarium Hands-On Museum & Aquarium will host its newest traveling exhibit, Heroes in Action! beginning May 15. People of all ages will enjoy the opportunity to explore the world of our emergency services personnel through dioramas, showcased displays and interactives.
This never-before-seen exhibit features 12-inch action figures posed in realistic scenes and includes exciting interactives.
Heroes in Action! debuts at the Imaginarium and is designed as a tribute to honor our nation’s uniformed emergency personnel including police, firefighters, EMTs and rescue workers. This vintage collection will promote an understanding of the role of these personnel and take some visitors back to their own childhoods, organizers said.
The Heroes in Action! Exhibit consists of three large dioramas and three interactives highlighting firefighters, rescue workers and SWAT. A children’s play area, limited edition collectible display and the opportunity for visitors to don authentic Police and Smoke Jumper uniforms will complete the Heroes in Action! Exhibit experience.
This exhibit has been created in collaboration with Brian Keith of World Action Figures.com. Keith is an avid action figure collector and entrepreneur from New York City whose passion for this collection has been translated into an educational, hands-on exhibit debuting at the Imaginarium.
The exhibit also coincides with the 45th birthday of GI JOE and its upcoming movie in August. Heroes in Action! is sure to excite anyone who has ever collected, played with or appreciated this iconic action figure and the roles of our uniformed emergency personnel.
The exhibit begins May 15 and runs through summer.
