Center selects 2009 board of directors

The Multicultural Centre of Southwest Florida announces its 2009 Board of Directors.

Members include Leonardo Garcia of the Hispanic American Business Alliance; Jack Pohlman of Wiltshire, Whitley, Richardson & English, PA; Connie Ramos-Williams of CONRIC PR & Marketing; Dr. Robert Brueck of Associates in Cosmetic Surgery; Evelyn Rivera of Dunbar Middle School; and Ronda Amaya of Mariner High School.

These new board members will promote diversity throughout southwest Florida. They will also help the Event Committee raise funds and organize the Annual Multicultural Back-To-School Festival & School Supply Giveaway.

This annual event serves more than 2,000 kids in need with new school supplies and backpacks each year, provides multicultural youth entertainment that includes hip-hop, salsa and Irish step dance on the main stage, and provides over 40 vendors with products and services for kids and families.
