May programs at library offer topics for all ages
Next month’s roster of activities at Cape Coral-Lee County Public Library offers topics for all ages. The following activities are free to the public:
– Craft Corner: Knitting, Crocheting and Cross-Stitching 3:30 p.m. Mondays, May 4, 18
– Chess: 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Registration required.
– Hurricane Prearedness Seminar: 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 19. Join members of the Lee County Emergency management team and Jim Farrell, Chief Meteorologist for WINK-TV.
– Book discussion, Joan Didion’s “The Year of Magical Thinking” 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 20.
– Craft Corner: Scrapbooking, Flowers and Mothers, 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23.
– Bagels, Books and Banter 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 26
– Anima Club, 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 2. Registration required
– Welcome to storytime. A library program, of p[picture sharing, finger plays, sons, and other fun activities.
– Baby-Parent Rhyme Time: 10 a.m. Saturdays, May 2, 9; 10:15 a.m. Thursday, May 7. For infants up to 24 months.. Registration is required
– Family; storytime, 10:15 a.m., Tuesday, May 5; 10:15 a.m.Wednesday, May 8. Registration is required.
– Mother’s Day Story and Craft 4 p.m. Friday, May 8. Registration is requested.
– Kids read down fines: 6:30 p.m. Mondays, May 4, 18; 3:30 p.m. Thursdays, May 14, 28.
Take care of library fines by reading. Children and teens can earn a $2 coupon for every 15 minutes of reading during the allotted time in the designated area of the library. For ages 18 and under.
– Preschool Storytime: 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 6; 11 a.m. Thursday, May 7, ages 3 to 5.
– Flip-Flop Fun 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, Registration is required.
– Anime Club at the Library 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6.
