Mix of speakers attend
The Lee County School Counselor’s Association held its annual Professional Growth Day, “Remembering the Past, Celebrating the Present, Preparing for the Future,” on April 2.
Featured speakers included Margaret Sirianni, founding member of the association, and James Browder, superintendent of schools.
Several community agencies participated by displaying their resources and presenting at breakout sessions.
Included were: Gary and Carole Hilleary, of the Sylvan Learning Center, who helped sponsor the event; Christine Kobie, of the Abuse Counseling and Treatment Center; Dr. Russ Sabella, of Florida Gulf Coast University; Bill Naylor and Carol Helton, of the Juvenile Assessment Center of Lee County; Debra Webb, of the PACE Center for Girls; and representatives of Edison State College, Club Z Tutoring, American Red Cross and Hope Hospice.
