The Ida S. Baker High School JROTC academic team will compete in the final championship round of The College Options Foundation’s 2009 JROTC Leadership and Academic Bowl on June 26-30 at George Mason University in Washington, D.C.

The JROTC team competed in two rounds of competitive online play against thousands of students from across the world to win a place in the championship.

In the rounds, students were tested on standard high school curriculum, including math, science, English and leadership skills.

The team is one of 24 in the nation to advance to the finals.
