Cape Coral
Spring Break Yacht Club Adventure Camp
The Spring Break Yacht Club Adventure Camp, for ages 8-12, will be held from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-April 10. The camp will have kayaking, tennis, fishing, swimming, beach tennis, basketball and more. There will be three surprise trips planned during the week. Resident fee is $110. Non-resident fee is $125.
Peer to Peer class
A Peer to Peer class begins Monday at United Way House, 1105 Cultural Parkway. It will be held from 6-8 p.m. each Monday through June 1. Today is the last day to register. For information or to register, call NAMI at 337-9024.
English tutors
Learn to teach English to an adult who speaks another language by signing up for a tutor training session with Literacy Volunteers of Lee County, a nonprofit agency that provides free adult literacy programs with the help of trained volunteers. A training session will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. April 18 at Epiphany Episcopal Church, 2507 Del Prado Blvd. A $30 fee is requested to cover the cost of the materials. Scholarships are available. Senior tutors
Senior volunteers 60 years or older are needed for tutoring in elementary schools. A stipend and mileage reimbursement is provided for those who qualify. For information, call Joan at the Dr. Piper Center at 332-5346.
BIS classes
The BIS class schedule is as follows:
– April 24: Computer skills, a career transition workshop, from 9 a.m.-noon. Cost is $45.

Renaissance Academy

Lee County Alliance of the Arts
Students from elementary to high school will display their work at the Lee County Alliance of the Arts, 10091 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers. Florida Gulf Coast University’s Institute for Responsible Corporate Government announces that Carolyn Kay Brancaio, founder and senior advisor to the Governance Center and director of The Conference Board’s European Government Council, is the keynote speaker for a program on “The Role of the Board of Directors in Enterprise Risk Management” from 3-5 p.m. Thursday at Sugden Welcome Center. Career training
Learn to make yourself more valuable to current and prospective employers by using e-mail marketing and social media at a training session from 9 a.m.-noon Friday at 2855 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers. ‘Protect our Children’ Fair
The “Protect our Children” Fair will be held from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Park in Fort Myers. Join us in changing the way the community responds to the abuse of its children, and help us promote action instead of reaction. This is a free and fun family event.
Book signing

Youth camps
The museums have teamed up to offer a variety of camp sessions this year during school holidays, spring break and the summer for kindergartners through seventh-graders. Girls Going Places
Girls Going Places is gearing up for its May 6 event. The program identifies the most enterprising, community-minded teen girls in Southwest Florida who will compete to win national scholarships and prizes. School counselors and principals must have their nominee forms submitted to Lynne Tarman at Alliance Financial Group, 14021 Metropolis Ave., Fort Myers, by April 15 to be included. Lunchbox Theatre Series
The Lunchbox Theatre Series, at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, presents:
