Child Care of Southwest Florida participating in food program

Child Care of Southwest Florida announces its participation in the U.S. Department of Argiculture’s Child Care Food Program.

Meals will be available at no separate charge to enrolled eligible children at Christ Lutheran Special Angels, 2911 Del Prado Blvd.

Parents/guardians of children eligible for free and reduced-price meals must complete an application.

Eligibility information includes the number and names of all household members, social security number of the adult household member signing the application or an indiction that this household member does not have one, total monthly household income or Food Stamp case number or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families case number, and the signature of an adult household member.

Income eligibility guidelines for 08-09

Household size – Free Meals, Reduced Meals

1 – Free meals: annual, 13,520; monthly, 1,127; weekly, 260; and reduced-price meals: annual, 19,240; monthly, 1,6047 weekly, 370.

2 – Free meals: annual, 18,200; monthly, 1,517; weekly, 350; and reduced-price meals: annual, 25,900; monthly, 2,159; weekly, 499.

3 – Free meals: annual, 22,880; monthly, 1,907; weekly, 440; and reduced-price meals: annual, 32,560; monthly, 2,714; weekly, 627.

4- Free meals: annual, 27,560; monthly, 2,297; weekly, 530; and reduced-price meals: annual, 39,220; monthly, 3,269; weekly, 755.

5 – Free meals: annual, 32,240; monthly, 2,687; weekly, 620; and reduced-price meals: annual, 45,880; monthly, 3,824; weekly, 883.

6 – Free meals: annual, 36,290; monthly, 3,077; weekly, 710; and reduced-price meals: annual, 52,540; monthly, 4,379; weekly, 1,011.

7 – Free meals: annual, 41,600; monthly, 3,467; weekly, 800; and reduced-price meals: annual, 59,200, monthly, 4,934; weekly, 1,139.

8 – Free meals: annual, 46,280; monthly, 3,857; weekly, 890 and reduced-price meals: annual, 65,860; monthly, 5,489; weekly, 1,267.

For each additional member, add on for – free meals: annual, 4,680; monthly, 390; weekly, 90; and reduced-price meals: annual, 6,680; monthly, 555; weekly, 120.

Children from families whose income is at or below the levels shown are eligible for free and reduced-price meals.

The policy statement for free and reduced-price meals is on file at the child care center and may be reviewed by any interested party.
