Sons of Italy present ‘Italy Then and Now’
The Order of Sons of Italy, Charles J. Bonaparte Lodge 2504, Cape Coral, will host an open house featuring the presentation “Italy Then and Now.”
Bruno and Italia Cherubini will discuss the culture, history, language, travel tips and modern life styles of Italy. The Cherubinis are part-time Coral residents from Rome, Italy.
The program will begin after a short business meeting.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cape Coral Association of Realtors, 918 S.E. 46th Lane.
The meeting and presentation are open to the public, including non-members.
The Order of Sons of Italy in America is the largest and longest-established Italian-American organization in the country.
The Charles J. Bonaparte Lodge donates to many charities including Alzheimer’s, Cooley’s Anemia and the American Cancer Society. A college scholarship is also awarded each spring to a deserving high school graduate of Italian descent.
