Cape Baptist Church

The Cape Baptist Church announces its new Web site, www.capebaptist.org. This is way to learn more about the church. The church started on Sept. 2, 2007. Visit the site and learn about the radio ministry, service times, Ladies’ Tea and much more. Pastor Holler’s messages are also available on the Web site for listening. The Cape Baptist Church meets every Sunday at Trafalgar Middle School in the cafeteria. Sunday times are Coffee and Fellowship at 10:30 a.m. and the Morning Worship Service is at 11 a.m. A junior church is provided for children ages 3-10. Everyone is welcome.

Cape Christian Fellowship

Everyone is invited Sunday as adults and youth are baptized and babies are dedicated to God. Celebration Sunday is always a special time to see and hear how God is at work creating extraordinary people through everyday life experiences.

This weekend only there will be contemporary worship gatherings available on Sunday at 9 and 11 a.m. All other weekends include a 5 p.m. Saturday worship celebration. There are classes for children and youth and a nursery provided during all worship gatherings.

The EDGE high school gathering is held on Wednesdays from 7-8:30 p.m.

Christ Lutheran Church

The sixth annual Christ Lutheran Church Octoberfest In March is moving to the Shell Factory, announced event organizer Don Ostrowsky. The annual event will take place Friday, March 13, through Sunday, March 15 on the grounds of the attraction located at 2787 North Tamiami Trail in North Fort Myers.

The event will be held away from the Christ Lutheran Church campus in Cape Coral for the first time, as it has outgrown the available parking.

All of the profits from the event go to those in need including the Cape Coral Caring Center and Community Cooperative Ministries, Inc. Over the last four years the event raised over $50,000.

Entertainment at the event includes three-time Grammy winner and Canada’s Polka King Walter Ostanek, Bob Kravos (grand nephew of Frank Yankovic) & the Boys in the Band from Cleveland, the Yankovic Sound from Milwaukee and more.

Diplomat Wesleyan Church

Diplomat Wesleyan Church at 1833 Diplomat Parkway, E., presents the 14th Annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, March 14, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Free general admission. Come for children’s activities, food, vendors wares and more. The 10-member Doerfel Family playing bluegrass music will be back for their third year in a row. First Church of God (Anderson Indiana)

The First Church of God of Cape Coral is a growing, multi-cultural place to worship.

The winter series of gospel music began in January. On the first Sunday of each month a musical group will minister during morning worship service.

The Doerfel Family with Bluegrass Gospel. March 1. Last Generation Ministries will finish up the series with word and song on April 5.

St. Andrew Catholic Church

The KC Ladies Auxiliary will have a bunco dessert party on Thursday, March 5, at 1 p.m., at St. Andrew hall. Cost is $3.50. For information call Sylvia at 772-2514.

The Council of Catholic Women of St. Andrew Church is sponsoring a Fashion Show-Luncheon on Wednesday, March 11, at noon in the Parish Hall, 2628 Del Prado Blvd. Tickets may be purchased for $10 by calling Rose at 458-4744. The Turning Point Church

The Turning Point Church, currently meeting in the Cape Coral Youth Center at 315 S.W. 2nd Ave. (off Santa Barbara Blvd.) will have special services on this Sunday.

The church meets for fellowship at 10 a.m. followed by Praise and Worship at 10:15 a.m. and then a highly energized children’s church is held from 10:45 a.m. through the adult worship service at approximately 11:45 a.m. in the Children’s Church area while Senior Pastor Dennis West delivers a message in the main auditorium. Trinity Lutheran Lenten services

Trinity Lutheran Church & School invites everyone to attend 7 p.m. Lenten Worship Services Wednesdays, through April 1. Free will offering pre-service meals will be served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Proceeds from the offerings and funds from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Care in Congregations Program will be applied toward upgrading of the sound/projection system. All are welcome.

Worship services at Trinity are Sundays at 8 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday School is at 9:15 and Bible Class at 9:30 a.m.

Trinity Lutheran School has openings for VPK 3 and VPK4. Full or Part Day Programs are offered..

Aglow International

Aglow International Fort Myers Lighthouse will meet Saturday, March 14, 9:30 a.m. at Whiskey Creek Country Club, 1449 Whiskey Creek Drive, Fort Myers. Cost $7.

St. Hilary’s Episcopal Church

Organist to perform in concert Sunday, March 1, at 4 p.m., at St. Hilary’s Episcopal Church, 5011 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers. Originally from the Southwest Florida area, Van Otterloo will perform classical music at the concert. The public is encouraged to attend this free concert.

Venetian Charity Ball

Bishop Frank J. Dewane will host the 10th Annual Venetian Charity Ball to be held Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Harborside Event Center in downtown Fort Myers. Tickets are $150 per person.
