Art show set at Shell Point
The annual Shell Point Art Show and Sale will be held Friday, March 13, through Sunday, March 15. The resident Art Show committee invites the public to view the artwork by talented artists here at Shell Point. The exhibit will feature paintings, pottery, sculptures, stained glass, polished stonework, wood carvings, and unique jewelry.
“The art show has been a very popular event in Fort Myers for years,” said Susan Miltner, Shell Point resident and Art Show oordinator. “The residents work throughout the year creating new and beautiful pieces to exhibit.”
The 2009 Shell Point Art Show and Sale will be held inside the Social Center on The Island at Shell Point on Friday and Saturday, March 13 and 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, March 15 from noon to 4 p.m. This event is open to the public. Shell Point Retirement Community is a continuing care retirement community located in Fort Myers just off Summerlin Road, two miles before the Sanibel causeway. Shell Point recently received a 5-star rating from the federal government for the Larsen Pavilion, a skilled nursing facility on site.
