Cape Coral

CHADD

CHADD is a national non-profit organization serving people of all ages affected by attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. CHADD of Lee County, the local chapter of the organization, meets from 7-8 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month except in November at the Lee Memorial Hospital auditorium, 2776 Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers. The next meeting is an interactive family forum on ADHD, led by psychologists. Participants will be divided into groups for discussions, sharing and brainstorming.

Alcoholics Anonymous

Diabetes Support Group of SW Florida

The Diabetes Support Group of Southwest Florida, in conjunction with Lee Diabetes Care of Lee Memorial Health System, meets at 9:30 a.m. the second Thursday of each month at Cape Coral Hospital L.I.F.E. Center, 636 Del Prado Blvd. The meetings are free, although monetary donations are accepted. Coffee and sugar free snacks are served. Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous

Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous is a 12-step program for individuals suffering from food obsession, overeating, under eating and bulimia. No dues, fees or weigh-ins. Multiple Sclerosis support group

Chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia support

The Southwest Florida Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Fibromyalgia support group meets the third Saturday each month from 10:30 a.m.-noon at Cape Coral Hospital, 636 Del Prado Blvd.

GriefShare

GriefShare, a support group for one of life’s most difficult experiences, will meet Tuesday-March 31 at 7 p.m. at Cape Christian Fellowship, 2110 Chiquita Blvd. S. Recovery Incorporated

Multiple Sclerosis support group

The Multiple Sclerosis support group meets at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month at St. Hilary’s Episcopal Church, 5011 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers. For information, call 574-4271.

Man to Man

Many prostate cancer patients are helping others through an American Cancer Society program called Man to Man. Man to Man volunteers hold free monthly meetings where men support each other and exchange information throughout the cancer experience. Abuse Counseling and Treatment offers the following support groups:

– Sexual assault support group: Support groups and individual counseling for adult survivors of sexual assault/abuse.

– Domestic violence: Support groups and individual counseling for adult victims of emotional, verbal or physical abuse.
