Poker Run
Harley-Davidson of Fort Myers is working with AnySoldier.com and will be collecting packages full of personal care products for soldiers stationed overseas in Iraq & Afghanistan. The run is open to all riders.
Potential donors are asked to remember that refrigeration is an issue. Also, pork of any kind is strictly prohibited in Iraq, as well as x-rated material.
Poker run registration is from 10 to 11 a.m.with the last bike leaving at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31. From HDFM the next poker run stop is the Iwo Jima Survivors Memorial Park, the run will continue to The Joint at Cape Harbour, the Paradise Tiki Bar and ends at Harley-Davidson of Fort Myers. An afternoon reception will feature food, live music, vendors, and guest speakers. For those who are not riding in the poker run, there will be food, vendors, live music, and adult beverages at the dealership from 11am-5pm. Habitat for Humanity
Lace up your sneakers for a home run on Jan. 31, to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Lee County. Verandah residents and First Bank will sponsor the 8K run, a 2-mile fun walk and tot trot at 8:30 a.m. in the Verandah community. The event is sanctioned by the Fort Myers Track Club. Pre-registration for the event is $25. You can register for the run on the day of the event at 7:30 a.m. for $30. Lunch, live entertainment and a raffle will follow the race.
