Elmquist Eye Group to open Cape office
Elmquist Eye Group will open a branch office at the Shops at Surfside, located at 2336 Surfside Blvd., Suite 121. The 2,022-square-foot office, which is being built by Stevens Construction, is slated to open late this month. It is Elmquist Eye Group’s third office.
The Cape Coral office hours will be Monday-Tuesday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; Wednesday-Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
“Approximately 18 percent of our patients are residents of Cape Coral and Pine Island,” said Dr. Trevor Elmquist, who has practiced ophthalmology in the area for more than 15 years. “We are excited to offer these patients the same quality service in a more convenient location.”
The Cape office will offer a full optical shop and full range of services, including comprehensive eye exams.
Founded in 1992 by Elmquist, Elmquist Eye Group provides comprehensive eye care to thousands of patients in the Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Lehigh Acres area. Services include comprehensive eye exams and diagnosis and treatment of cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, dry eyes, glaucoma and other eye conditions.
Optometrist Dr. Kate Wagner joined the practice in 2006 and is now a partner with the group. Optometrist Dr. Nina Burt joined the practice in early January.
A full optometric boutique is located within the Fort Myers office with a wide range of eyeglass options. The Fort Myers office is located at 12670 New Brittany Blvd., Suite 102.
