Library Art Gallery
Art Gallery. The Weavers of Char-Lee are returning to the art gallery for the month of January. On Jan. 10, at 10 a.m., they will celebrate Roc Day in the library meeting room. The Weavers will honor the day with demonstrations of weaving, spinning, dyeing and felting, Everyone is invited to bring yarns and needles, wheels and loom, hoops and hooks to join them in this celebration. Cheryl Fausel, watercolor artist, and Vic Baisley, woodturner, are the featured visiting artists during January, 2009 at the Harbour View Gallery, Unit 104,at Cape Harbour Marina South.
An opening exhibition reception for Fausel and Baisley will be held from 6 8 p.m. at the gallery on Tuesday, Jan. 6. Refreshments will be served.

Rising Stars Art Gallery
Dana Rudolph is currently showing her exquisite jewelry creations at Rising Stars Art Gallery in Cape Coral.
Rudolph has been designing and making jewelry for over 30 years in addition to pursuing her artistic vision in sculpture and drawing. She has recently moved to Port Charlotte from Troy, NY where she owned an award winning jewelry and bead business. She was professor of art at the Sage Colleges in Albany, N.Y.

Cape Coral Arts Studio presents the following events.
From Jan. 2 through Jan 30, exhibit “The Surreal World of Greg Deckler.” Artist’s reception Friday, Jan. 9, 5 to 7 p.m. Free and open to the public.
The Stone Age Emporium presents a bead show at Cape Coral Arts Studio Saturday, Jan. 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This one-day event provides an opportunity to choose from a large selection of supplies for anyone working in jewelry, glass beading, precious metal clay, gold and silversmithing. There will be over 200 varieties of gemstones and glass beads available.
Fine Craft Bash, Sunday, Jan. 25, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a day of hands-on fine craft workshops that include: silver jewelry, glass fusing, enameling, and past paper boxes, intro to beadmaking, painted gourds, stained glass, raku firing and wire wrapping.Morning workshops from 9-noon; afternoon workshops from 1 to 4 p.m. Cost is $35 for one workshop or $60 for two workshops. Special rates for members and students. Winter class session, Jan. 12 through March 2. Register early for classes in the fine arts and fine crafts for adults and youth classes at the Arts Studio.

The National League of American Pen Women, Southwest Florida branch presents an exhibit of their work at Arts For Act, 2265 First St., Fort Myers. The exhibit will run through Feb. 3. The National League of American Pen Women began in 1897.

FGCU Art Gallery
Florida Gulf Coast University Art Gallery invites the public to an opening reception for “Man Made” exhibition featuring the environmental art of Mary Ellen Croteau from 5 to 8 p.m. on Jan. 8, at the Art Gallery. The exhibition runs through Feb. 7, and is free and open to the public.
