Cape Coral Yacht Club

The following programs will be held at the Cape Coral Yacht Club.

Monday, Jan. 5-Jan. 26, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Resident fee, $45, non-resident $40.

Thursday, Jan. 22, 7-9 p.m., Recreational boating seminar. Resident fee, $15, non-resident $18.

Wednesday, Jan. 14, 4-6 p.m., Business by the Numbers. Registration $29.95 per person.

Lake Kennedy Senior Center

.Friday, Jan. 8, spend a day at the Tampa Bay Downs. Leave from the center at 8:15 a.m. (arrive by 8 a.m.) Cost is $60 for members and $70 for non-members.

Friday, Jan. 23, take a day cruise from Captiva Island aboard the Lady Chadwich to Cabbage Key, Friday, Jan. 23. Leave the center at 8:15 a.m., arrive by 8 a.m.) Cost is $84 for members and $94 for non-members.

Bridge with Mary Greico: Strictly beginners bridge-part II, Mondays, 10 a.m to noon. Cost is $24 for members for six classes, $48 for non-members for six classes ‘reviewing the basics, advanced beginners-intermediate bridge Fridays, from 10 to noon. Cost is $4 for members and $8 for non-members.

Clogging classes with instructor Lee Luberti Mondays: beginner plus, noon to 1 p.m.; intermediate 1 to 2 p.m. Cost is $6 for members and $10 for non-members both classes.

Four Mile Cove/Eco Preserve

A guided kayak tour of Four Mile Cove/Eco Preserve Saturday, Jan. 17, from 9 a.m.-noon. Cost $35 for Cape resident. Cost includes kayak rental. Advance registration is required. Call the Rotary Park at 549-4606.

Indoor Flea Market

Are you ready to turn your trash into cash? Then get busy cleaning out those closets and emptying out that garage to get in on our monthly ” Indoor Flea Market” the second Saturday of every month. Dream Drawing

Divine Dream Drawing-Kick Off for the benefit of the Southwest Florida Symphony Society, Thursday, Jan. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at North Star Yacht Club, 3420 Hancock Bridge Parkway, North Fort Myers. New Trail Open at Manatee Park

Join a guide and learn about native plants and their connection to people past and present. This program features plants used by the Calusa, Seminole and later by early settlers. The program is offered on Sunday Dec. 28, Sunday Jan. 4, and Sunday Jan. 18, at noon. Meet at the “Chickee” (palm thatched hut). The program is free with paid parking.

Manatee Park is open daily from 8 a.m. to sundown. The Visitor Center and Gift Shop are now open from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. daily. Parking is $1 per hour, per vehicle, maximum $5. No Pets. Manatee Park is located at 10901 Palm Beach Blvd.,1.3 miles east of I75 on SR 80 directly across the street from the FPL power plant. For more information go to www.leeparks.org

The Mangrove Gathering

The Mangrove Gathering is for people who care about the Earth and a place to socialize with live music, coffee and tea, wireless internet, informational displays and organizations, and all of the current local information on Southwest Florida environmental happenings.
