2 min read

Evangelical Christian School’s Upper School students and the fourth grade classes participated in Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse.

Because of the efforts of the students, three hundred shoe boxes were packed with Christmas presents to be sent to less fortunate kids around the world.

Students from Evangelical Christian School’s 5th and 6th grade Choir were a part of the festivities for Team Aubuchon’s annual fund raiser, Helping Hands for the Holidays.

The evening was filled with music, food, and fellowship, all for the cause of benefiting several area foundations including Make a Wish Foundation, The Ronald McDonald House Charities and Builders Care. The following girls enjoyed singing for such a great cause:Miss Richey (Choir Director), Nicole Gonzalez, Samantha Higgins, Rachel Cruise, Kayla Brown, Danielle Higgins, Joanna Berguist and Erica Swafford.

The Spearman family purchased the Way FM DJ for the day from Evangelical Christian School’s annual school auction held in the spring.

On Dec. 4, Lisa Spearman, Director of Development for ECS, went to the Way FM studio for her radio debut. “What a fantastic fun thing to do. Now I can check this off of my bucket list,” she said.

Since Dec. 4 was Todd Thursday at Way FM, Spearman was able to enjoy her debut with Jessica Todd, Guidance Counselor and co-worker at ECS. They both enjoyed the morning with Jeff and Steve.
