Angel Tree for foster care youth

1 min read

Almost 950 Lee County children are housed in foster homes and many of them are in need of help in order to have a happy holiday season.

The Foster Care Advisory Services Inc. cooperates with and through the Children’s Network in providing emergency and special assistance to foster children.

A special Angel Tree has been placed in the McDonald’s on College Parkway at South Pointe Blvd. in South Fort Myers. Individuals may pick an Angel Tag from the tree containing a child’s wish.

The new, unused and unwrapped suggested items are to be returned no later than Dec. 12 with the Angel Tag attached.

The gifts will be distributed by FCAS through the auspices of the Children’s Network in conjunction with its Holiday House for Foster Children.

For those who cannot visit the McDonald’s and wish to participate, they may contact Charles Johnson at 939-1338 or Rena Gezzar at 478-3581, for a list of needed gift items.

Financial contributions are also being accepted.
