Cape Harbour is ushering in the holiday season with a “Grand Opening Celebration and Holiday Magic” event at Cape Harbour’s Marina Promenade on Nov. 21 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The seasonal family event includes a tree lighting ceremony, complete with a Southwest Florida twist, a visit from Santa, a live band playing traditional and popular music as well as delightful fare at all of Cape Harbour’s fine restaurants.

The main feature of the evening is the second annual “Holiday Magic” tree lighting ceremony beginning at approximately 7:00 p.m. on the North Shore of the marina.

“This is not your traditional blue spruce,” said Realmark President Will Stout. “This is Holiday Magic, Florida-style. Wait until you see how our creative landscaping team has transformed a 40-foot palm tree into a spectacular holiday centerpiece.”

Of course, no holiday event is complete without a visit from the jolly old fellow from the North Pole. Santa will be overseeing the tree lighting ceremony and then settling into a comfortable chair in the Pavilion. There he’ll be greeting all who want to share their secret holiday wishes.

Santa will be visiting from 6 to 9 p.m. Keepsake photos with Santa will be available for purchase.

Also during the celebration, a live band, “Catman Doodz,” hosted by The Joint, will entertain in the courtyard from 6 to10 p.m. with a variety of music to appeal to everyone of every age.

The public is also invited to stroll the Promenade and discover the many shops, boutiques and dine at one of the restaurants such as Rumrunners, The Joint or Pignoli and finish with coffee and dessert at Run Agrounds. Visitors will enjoy browsing the shops to see displays of original artwork, distinctive clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, home decor and more. Gift certificates for someone who deserves to be pampered at High Maintenance Salon and Day Spa can also be purchased, or associates can help find the perfect piece of jewelry to add to that special someone’s collection.

There is no admission charge for the event. For questions, contact Cape Harbour’s offices at 945-6116 or toll-free at (877) 945-6116, or visit the Web site at: www.capeharbour.com.
