Kay Casperson to speak at the Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association’s February meeting in honor of National Heart Month
The Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association has announced that renowned entrepreneur, author, and wellness advocate Kay Casperson will be the featured speaker in honor of National Heart Month on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Sanibel Community House. The event will feature “A Journey of Strength: From Health & Beauty to Heart Health,” where Casperson will share her remarkable journey, both in her career and her personal life.
Networking will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by the program from noon to 1 p.m. During the program, Casperson will take attendees through her inspiring career in the health, beauty, and spa industry. As a highly respected figure in the field, she will discuss her contributions to wellness, skincare, and beauty before delving into her deeply personal and life-changing experience with heart health.
She will share the emotional story of denial, acceptance, heroism and redemption. Casperson’s resilience in the face of such an unexpected health crisis has left a lasting impact on her and her family, and she hopes that by sharing her story, she can inspire others to take charge of their health in ways they might not have considered before.
“I believe in the power of connection, strength, and resilience,” said Taylor Osborne, president of SCBWA. “This is more than just a talk about beauty or health – it’s about finding the strength to face the unexpected and survive. I hope this will encourage others, especially women, to listen to their bodies and make their health a priority.”
The event is open to members of the Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association and guests. Attendees will leave with not only professional insight into the health and beauty industry but also a deeper understanding of the importance of heart health and an invitation to join the SCBWA for a CPR course led by the Sanibel Fire Department in March.
