National Cheeseburger Day: Mayor Gunter honored with own burger at Ford’s Garage
Feeling cheesy? National Cheeseburger Day is on Sept. 18 and Ford’s Garage, the neighborhood burger and brew joint inspired by the heritage of the Ford Motor Company, is the place to go to experience a variety of fresh, never frozen, ½-pound Black Angus burgers piled high with fresh ingredients and unique flavor combinations.
The Ford’s Garage Burgers of Fame take the spotlight for the foodie holiday, with each unique burger named after an iconic and impactful individual or organization in the community. Local Burgers of Fame at the Cape Coral Ford’s Garage include:
* The Ford’s Signature – John Gunter, Mayor of Cape Coral – Tillamook® Sharp Cheddar Cheese, applewood smoked bacon, bourbon BBQ sauce, crisp lettuce, tomato and red onion on a brioche bun.
* The Estate Burger – Shari Armstrong, FOX 4 News Anchor – Smoked gouda cheese, sweet red onion marmalade, arugula, tomato and fried onion straws on a brioche bun.
* The High-Octane – Ryan Lamb, Cape Coral Fire Chief – Tillamook® Pepper Jack Cheese, guacamole, chipotle ketchup, crisp lettuce, tomato, red onion and fresh jalapeño peppers on a brioche bun.
The Burgers of Fame are unique to each Ford’s Garage location and pair perfectly with the restaurant’s craft beers on tap and signature cocktails. Select from popular options, like the Backseat Driver featuring Patrón Silver Tequila, Cointreau, honey syrup, mango purée, lemon juice and orange juice and the Old Fashioned Burnout made with Horse Soldier Straight Bourbon, apricot-washed Amaro Montenegro and rich demerara syrup with angostura and orange bitters.
Ford’s Garage is at 1719 Cape Coral Pkwy E., Cape Coral.
