Eighteen Hooters Girls from the Fort Myers, Port Charlotte, Boca Raton, Cypress Creek, Fort Lauderdale, Hialeah and Weston Hooters locations had the opportunity to travel to Bimini and Chub Cay for their 2024 Hooters Calendar shoots. All of the ladies currently work at Hooters restaurants. For some of the Hooters Girls this is their first time shooting for the calendar, others are returning from previous years.

A very special part of the calendar shoot festivities included visiting Gateway Christian Academy in Bimini and North Andros All Age School in Chub Cay. South Florida Hooters “MLP Giving Back” is in honor of David “Lags” Lageschulte, Hooters franchise owner and philanthropist, who lost his 11-year battle with prostate cancer in 2014. The ladies enjoyed spending time with the children and distributed donated toys, balls, hula-hoops and art supplies to the schools.

Bimini Calendar Shoot Participants: Emily Shaffer (Fort Myers), Daniella Sosa (Port Charlotte), Natalie Ungashick (Boca Raton), Madison Novo (Hialeah), Abby Fuqua (Boca Raton), Ayansley Santos (Boca Raton) and Selena Sanchez (Pembroke Pines).

Chub Cay Calendar Shoot Participants: Kaitlyn Camareno (Fort Myers), Skylar Becker (Fort Myers), Tara Archer (Fort Myers), Hannah Carter (Beach Place), Courtney Sullivan (Cypress Creek), Abi Helpingstine (Beach Place), Jessica Dowling (Cypress Creek), Gracie Williams (Weston), Jenise Lebron (Cypress Creek), Jami Lavelle (Cypress Creek) and Sammy Lynch (Cypress Creek).

“Visiting the schools was the absolute highlight of my trip. To see the kids smile and hearing their laughter absolutely made my heart explode. It just makes you feel good to know that we’re blessed to be able to give back to the community,” said Daniela Sosa who works at Port Charlotte Hooters. “The whole experience felt so surreal. I’m so grateful I was able to partake in shooting for the calendar, especially in the Bahamas” added Sosa.

“The experience I had in the Bahamas for the calendar shoot meant so much to me, from meeting new people to doing a lot of things I’ve never done before. I will hold every memory close to me for the rest of my life and I am so blessed to have the opportunities Hooters has given me,” said Emily Shaffer who works at Fort Myers Hooters. “Hooters has taught me a lot of valuable skills. Giving back is one of them and the importance behind it. The time I spent at Gateway Christian Academy with the students was emotional for me. I saw happiness, appreciation, joy, playfulness and so much more” added Shaffer.

“Although this was my second time shooting in the Bahamas for the Hooters Swimsuit Calendar, it was my first time shooting as the reigning Miss Hooters International 2022. I remember how excited I was last year just to have the opportunity to shoot outside of the United States, never thinking a year later I would be doing the same with a crown and sash. This year has been an ultimate dream come true,” said Madison Novo who works at Hialeah Hooters and is the current Miss Hooters International. “It meant everything to me to visit Gateway Christian Academy in the Bahamas. The children greeted us with smiles from ear to ear and so much excitement. I’m a child at heart, so being able to play with the kids and let my inner child come out is always fun and extremely rewarding,” added Novo.

“The experience of going to the Bahamas to shoot for the calendar was something that amplified the epitome of the LTP brand; which is a company based upon family and giving one’s all to others for a great outcome (photographing for the calendar and giving back to kids). Visiting the school and bringing the children toys to play with meant so much to not only myself, but all the girls as giving back is something we’re all called to do on this earth. Hooters does a lot in such a fun loving way,” said Abby Fuqua who works at Boca Raton Hooters.

“We are thankful for the opportunity to visit the Bahamas every May for our Hooters Calendar shoots. We always enjoy our tradition of giving back to the community including school children as part of MLP Giving Back,” said LTP Management Director of Marketing Kristi Quarles.

Hooters Girl Alumnus Vanessa Perez had the opportunity to be the makeup artist for the ladies for the Bahamas Hooters Calendar shoots. Additional Hooters Girls had the opportunity to shoot at locations in South Florida, Sarasota and Fort Myers for the 2024 Hooters Calendar. Over 200 Hooters Girls from eight countries are featured throughout the Hooters Calendar. The Calendars will be available at Hooters in October. The Calendars are $15 with $1 of every calendar going to the Kelly Jo Dowd Fund for Breast Cancer Research.
