Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc. celebrated their 34th anniversary serving Lee County with their inaugural Environmental Awards Breakfast. In 2022 despite the many challenges from Hurricane Ian, KLCB educated 1,302 individuals; engaged 4,084 volunteers; and organized 233 community cleanup projects. As a result, 78,951 pounds of litter were removed, and 800 sea oats were planted.

KLCB was thrilled to recognize a few groups, individuals and businesses for their environmental stewardship and action which helped make all this work possible. The awards breakfast, sponsored by Wawa, was held at the Riverside Community Center with Marshal Bower the President & CEO for the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools as the Emcee.

Each year Keep Lee County Beautiful works with over 5,000 volunteers and (pre-Ian) hosted over 400 community projects a year. KLCB is very thankful for all the volunteers and community partners and is proud to be part of this community as we continue to work together and make Lee County beautiful.
