Ribbon cutting set for new United Way House in North Fort Myers

By Staff | Jan 4, 2023

United Way is proud to announce a new United Way House in North Fort Myers. United Way Houses are essential links in providing human services to people who need them in the counties served by United Way Lee, Hendry, and Glades. United Way Houses provide space for agencies to reach clients who may not be able to access services outside of their neighborhood or near their work. Many resources are available in a single location. The lead agency for the North Fort Myers United Way House is Organización Internacional de Latinos en el Exterior of SWFL (O.I.L.E., also known by their program name, Healing Stitches).

United Way will host a ribbon cutting for the new house at 1621 North Tamiami Trail; Unit 4, in North Fort Myers on Thursday, Jan. 12, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Note: Everyone is asked to park in the parking lot of Smokin’ Pit BBQ at 1641 N Tamiami Trail.

United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades along with several partner agencies that serve the public from the new United Way House: Catholic Charities, Goodwill Industries, FGCU, Literacy Council Gulf Coast, Partners for Breast Cancer Care, North Fort Myers Fire Department, VITA, Beesley’s Paw Prints, WeCare, and Lee Health.
