Eager Beaver Car Wash offering free car washes for veterans
Eager Beaver Car Wash in Fort Myers will provide free exterior car washes to all veterans and active military personnel Friday, Nov. 11. To receive a free wash, just stop by the Eager Beaver in Fort Myers at 12330 S. Cleveland Ave. Additional participating sites are in Sarasota and Venice.
To get a free exterior car wash, veterans or active personnel need to provide proof of service (DD214 form, military ID, veterans organization membership card or vehicle plates that display POW, veterans or military medal/ribbon status).
Providing free car washes and discounted oil changes is Eager Beaver’s way of honoring the sacrifice and dedication of all American veterans.

Brafitters USA in Cape donates 87 bras to Thrive
Brafitters USA recently announced that through the generous donations of its customers, the store was able to donate 87 gently used bras to Thrive, a residential home for women and children, in September.
Customers have been able to donate their gently used old bras to charity through the Brafitters USA store, which encourages customers to make a difference in the local community by hunting up their old unused bras that no longer fit and dropping them off at our store.
Brafitters USA is a new business in Cape Coral that specializes in properly sizing customers for a bra that fits, stocks over 2,500 bras from affordable to luxuriant and gives recommendations on products that fit individual sizing needs.
In addition to its large bra selection, Brafitters USA also carry the following specialty items — mastectomy bras, sports bras, nursing bras, posture bras and fitted bathing suits.

Fort Myers Brewing’s chocolate stout earns gold at 2022 Great American Beet Festival
Fort Myers Brewing Company’s signature Chocolate Stout earned national acclaim with a gold medal at the 2022 Great American Beer Festival competition. Presented by the Brewers Association, the Great American Beer Festival is the nation’s largest commercial beer competition and recognizes the most outstanding beers produced in the United States.
Fort Myers Brewing medaled in the chocolate beer category and was the only Southwest Florida brewery, and one of just 12 in Florida, to medal at the 2022 competition. Winners were announced Oct. 8 at the Great American Beer Festival awards ceremony in Denver, Colorado.
“Florida is home to a thriving craft beer market, so being one of just a handful of breweries in our state to be recognized is a proud accomplishment for our team,” said Rob Whyte, who co-founded Fort Myers Brewing Company in 2013 with his wife, Jen. “Our Chocolate Stout has been a longtime favorite among our guests, and it means a lot to know an international panel of expert judges feel the same way.”
The 2022 Great American Beer Festival competition winners were selected by an international panel of 235 expert judges from 9,904 entries, plus 94 Collaboration and 35 Pro-Am entries, received from 2,154 U.S. breweries.
The award-winning brew will be on tap at Fort Myers Brewing beginning Friday, Oct. 28 to celebrate the honor as well as for National Chocolate Day.
Established in 2013, Fort Myers Brewing Company was the first microbrewery to open in Lee County and continues to lead Southwest Florida’s surging craft beer movement. Fort Myers Brewing carries a signature line of flagship beers in addition to seasonal brews and small batch specialties.
