This weekend, Feb. 5 and 6, the 12th Spring Home & Garden Show takes place at the Lowe’s Home Improvement Center on Pine Island Road where 50 local and regional companies that display and present products and services to homeowners will show off what they’ve got.

Attendees can experience the newest in-home improvement products and services inside and out from furnishings, accessories, decorating and remodeling ideas to landscaping and more.

“The real estate market has been going gangbusters in Southwest Florida in recent months and this is the perfect event for current and future homeowners to gain information and learn about products and services for their residences,” said Bill Anderson, president of Expo Management that produces the Home & Garden Show. “Anything and everything you could possibly need in your home is here — from pool, to patio, to deck, to roof, to ground, and everything in-between.”

Vendors include businesses that specialize in areas such as air conditioning, asphalt, bathrooms, cooking ware, restoration work, home security and technology, windows, screen enclosures and much more.

Anderson said the one-stop-shopping aspect, along with event show deals only offered in an environment such as this, is a great advantage to homeowners, especially those that are looking to update and improve their residence.

“Your home is in most cases the greatest asset anybody has,” Anderson said. “People want their homes to be comfortable and enjoyable and nice and attractive. People are spending more money, more time on their homes than even before, especially in the last two years. You can come to the home and garden show and see local companies that can answer questions.”

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday with free admission and free parking. The show is set up in the parking lot under a massive tent that is air conditioned and enclosed with doors and windows.

Masks will be available for attendees upon request and social distancing is encouraged.

There are two shows each year, one in the spring and another in the fall. Expo Management has held shows at the current location for eight years.

Lowe’s Home Improvement Center is at 1651 N.E. Pine Island Road, at the intersection of Del Prado Boulevard.
