Air Pros Residential and Commercial Air Conditioning Services (Air Pros USA) last week announced that the winner of the company’s 2nd annual Veterans Day Giveaway is Bobby Joseph, a United States Marine Corps veteran. To recognize his sacrifices to the country, Air Pros USA presented him with an A/C unit at his home.

“I am very thankful to Air Pros USA for this new brand A/C unit,” said Joseph. “I want to thank everyone who voted for me, and I am pleasantly surprised that I am chosen for this generous gift.”

Joseph served in the U.S. Marines for more than 12 years and has been deployed to Iraq three times as well as to Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Jordan and Africa. His assignment was as a Marine Infantry Machine Gunner/Special Forces. On his third tour to Iraq, he was struck by an IED (improvised explosive device) and suffered a traumatic brain injury. It took him more than two years to learn to walk again.

Despite his major setback, it has not stopped him from living life to its fullest as he enjoys riding his horse every day. He also gives back to his community by empowering others as a motivational speaker.

“We are honored to be able to recognize a local military hero and provide him with a brand-new air conditioning unit and installation this Veterans Day,” said Anthony Perera, founder of Air Pros USA. “We truly loved learning about our local Veterans through this giveaway. This is just a small way for us to express our gratitude for their service to our country.”

Air Pros USA sponsored the contest to honor the men and women in the Fort Myers community who have served and sacrificed for our country by sharing their stories. Joseph currently works as a supervisor overseeing the building of new homes. His A/C unit was approximately 15 years old and in disarray. He currently lives with his girlfriend and stepdaughter.
