The Fort Myers Home & Remodeling Show returns to the Lee Civic Center next weekend.

Nearly 100 vendors and contractors, the majority of them locally owned, will be there on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 29 through 31, to sell their wares, whether it be floors and doors, spas and pools, remodeling of kitchen and bathroom, and landscaping and patios and so much more. The show takes place Friday from noon to 5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $6 with kids coming in for free. There also will be free parking.

This will be the ninth time the show has come to the civic center and it has become the biggest and best home show in the area, said Jackielou, the show’s manager, who comes here twice a year.

“The show is coming along great. I’m really excited about it. We love the Lee Civic Center. We have the regular exhibitors coming in and I feel really good about it,” Jackielou said. “With COVID, we were waiting until the middle of September when it started dying down to decide.”

COVID meant many of the snowbirds stayed put in Florida. Now that many of them who did return north are coming back, and because more people are moving here permanently from the north, Jackielou believes this could be the best show to date as they have increased their advertising for it.

“The economy is booming and there are so many new residents coming down from the Midwest and moving here and they need a home and remodeling show to get everything they need to get done,” said Jackielou, adding that most of the vendors she gets are locally operated.

“We promote the local vendors and companies. I’ve talked to new accredited companies that are coming to the show and want to use it as a way to market their business and I’m very happy about it,” Jackielou said.

The show will return to the Lee Civic Center to start the new year, from Dec. 31 to Jan. 2.
