A 1.28-acre buildable vacant home site within the South Seas Island Resort, at 925 South Seas Plantation Road, Captiva, recently closed for $5.6 million.

John R. Woods Properties reported that the sale represents the highest Gulf-front vacant land sale to date for the island. Marketed by LeAne Taylor Suarez, vice president and broker of the firm’s Captiva office, the excavated property includes more than 130 feet of Gulf frontage.

“This location is such that the buyer will experience a true island lifestyle,” she said. “It is a perfect, exclusive place to witness beautiful sunsets, enjoy long beach walks, indulge in fabulous shelling and enjoy resort amenities with a private membership.”

The property closed for 95 percent of the list price and was on the market for 200 days.
