Sindledecker promoted to special projects manager at Stevens Construction

Stevens Construction has promoted Shane Sindledecker to special projects manager, announced Daniel Adams, vice president and principal.

A Stevens Construction team member since 2018, Sindledecker is responsible for the financial components of Stevens Construction’s special projects team, including preparing budgets, schedule of values and monthly fee projections. Additionally, Sindledecker manages all subcontractor relations, negotiating contracts, creating project schedules and ensuring quality control.

Sindledecker brings 15 years of construction experience and has earned multiple construction safety certifications such as OSHA-10 Hour, CPR and ICRA Fundamentals. He previously served as superintendent leading site supervision for projects such as Legacy Dental Studio, Bonita Springs Utilities Operations Service Center and Elmquist Eye Group.

Stevens Construction launched a special projects division in 2018 to serve projects ranging from $300,000 and under. Stevens Construction provides self-performance with a team of skilled craftsmen allowing more flexibility with schedule, an ability to perform tasks on demand, quality and cost control. Special projects include tenant improvements, additions, renovations, repairs and specialty projects.

Century 21 Sunbelt Realty to hold Veterans Appreciation Day, blood drive Tuesday

As a special thank you to veterans, Century 21 Sunbelt Realty at 1506 Chiquita Blvd., in Cape Coral, will be holding a special Veterans Appreciation Day event Tuesday, Nov. 10, from noon to 5 p.m.

The public is invited to stop by for a day of information and networking with industry mortgage lenders, home inspectors, home owner insurance agents and Realtors.

In addition, the Century 21 Sunbelt Realty office will also be hosting a blood drive with the Big Red Bus and provide the opportunity for visitors to drop of a new toy as a Toys for Tots collection center. Guests can also enter a raffle for a chance to win a door prize.

As part of the blood drive, donors will receive a OneBlood gift and a $10 eGift Card. With a blood donation, participants will receive a wellness checkup, including a COVID-19 antibody test; blood pressure check; temperature check, iron count; pulse; and cholesterol screening.

EHC Inc. starts two projects and completes two

EHC Inc., a construction company that provides pre-construction, earthwork and infrastructure services, has announced that it has started Sandhill Boulevard Phase 1 and the GIBA Southern Roadway Sidewalk Project, along with completing State Route 82 in Lee County and The Luminary Hotel & Co.

EHC is the prime construction contractor for Phase 1 of the Sandhill Boulevard Project from Kings Highway to Deep Creek Boulevard in Charlotte County. According to Charlotte County, the project includes construction of additional turn lanes at the intersections of Sandhill Boulevard at Capricorn Boulevard, Sandhill Boulevard at Deep Creek Boulevard, and the reconfiguration of Sandhill Boulevard approach at the intersection of Kings Highway. EHC is providing clearing, grubbing, excavation, embankment, subgrade and base groups, drainage and underground utilities, fill, curbing, sidewalk, signage, and pavement marking.

The Gasparilla Island Bridge Authority awarded EHC with the Southern Roadway Sidewalk project in Boca Grande, which includes the construction of paved roadway shoulders, concrete sidewalk with concrete curbing, and a crosswalk connecting to the Boca Grande golf cart path. The purpose of the project is to improve safety for bicycles and pedestrians on the GIBA-owned portion of Gasparilla Road south of Gulf Shores Drive North. EHC services are clearing and grubbing, excavation, embankment, Type B stabilization, fill, concrete, curbing and sidewalk, signage and striping, and finish grading.

The SR 82 project in Lee County was the second of three with AJAX Paving for the Florida Department of Transportation. Awarded fall of 2019, the improvements to SR 82 for the project consisted of adding lanes, reconstruction, milling and resurfacing, widening, base work, shoulder treatment, drainage improvements, curb and gutters, sidewalks, signing and pavement markings, lighting and borrow pit construction. The project began from east of Shawnee Road, easterly approximately three miles, to east of Alabama Road in Lee County for a total of over four miles. SR 82 improvements in Collier County are continuing from Gator Slough Drive for around 3.25 miles to SR 29.
