MK Architecture completes construction documents for interior renovation of Kyle Campbell building

MK Architecture has completed construction documents for an interior renovation for Kyle Campbell for his building at 2040 Virginia Ave. in Fort Myers. The 4,300-square-foot building will house the offices of yurstore, a company that supplies branded merchandise. 

The building was first built in 1972 and the current project includes a full interior demolition and rebuild to bring new life to this mid-century designed structure.  The exterior will be not be modified and will continue to fit into the context of downtown Fort Myers. 

The renovation is expected to be complete by the end of the year.

Suffolk promotes Wilson and Eastman

Suffolk recently promoted Ben Wilson and Chris Eastman to key regional leadership positions in their Florida Gulf Coast Operations. Wilson has been promoted to chief operating officer of the Gulf Coast, and Eastman will now serve as vice president of operations in Tampa/St. Pete. 

Wilson has spent his entire career in the Florida construction market, overseeing projects in nearly every sector including senior living, education, multi-family residential, retail, and entertainment.  He serves as a regional champion for the company’s operational excellence initiative which continuously evaluates procedures to create efficiencies and improvements in process. He also spearheads many of the innovation initiatives on Suffolk jobsites to enhance the value of services for clients and partners.

Wilson holds a bachelor’s degree in building construction management from the University of Florida, is LEED Accredited, OSHA certified and a Certified Building Contractor with the state of Florida.

Eastman’s years of expertise in the Tampa market and grasp of project objectives allows him to provide valuable direction in both the preconstruction and construction phases. During his career, he has amassed experience on both the construction and development side of the business. His resume spans multiple sectors including senior living, healthcare, Class A office, multi-family residential, institutional, mixed-use urban, and waterfront development of more than 10,000,000 square feet.

Eastman earned a bachelor’s degree in building construction from the University of West Florida and holds a Florida General Contractor’s License.
