Smith earns Century 21

Quality Service Producer award

Realizing that customer service is an integral part of its commitment to professional excellence, Century 21 Real Estate LLC has recognized Laurie Smith of Century 21 Birchwood Realty Inc. with the Century 21 Quality Service Producer award.

This national award is presented annually to those Century 21 affiliates who receive a minimum return rate of 30 percent on their post-transaction client satisfaction surveys sent between Jan. 1 and Oct. 31, with a minimum satisfaction index of 90 percent. Surveys are e-mailed to all customers immediately after the purchase or sale of a home.

Smith has 2 years of experience in the real estate industry and has been with the Century 21 System for 2 years.

Southwest Florida Symphony Society

to host annual Designer Showcase ‘Luxury Home Tour’

The Southwest Florida Symphony Society will present its annual Designer Showcase, Luxury Home Tour March 11-13. Teaming up with Stock Signature Homes, the Luxury Home Tour will be held at Hidden Harbor, an exclusive boating community in Fort Myers. Four homes in Hidden Harbor will be open for viewing by the public from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

“We are very pleased to be working again with Stock Signature Homes” commented Sandy Magyar, co-chairman of this year’s event. “We have several events planned around the Designer Showcase, including a fashion show on Tuesday, March 8, at the Colonial Country Club, and the opening night gala Thursday, March 10, at Hidden Harbor. There will be a number of artisans on hand who will display their exceptional work in jewelry and other crafts.”

The 2016 Gala opening event will be held from 6-8 p.m. Guests will enjoy an evening under the stars at one of the Designer Showcase homes with a chance to view all the homes before they are opened to the public. Entertainment, wine and hors d’oeuvres will be provided by the Symphony Society. Reservations are required; tickets are $70 per person.

The Symphony Society Fashion Show Luncheon will be held at Colonial Country Club begins at 11 a.m. Fashions will be provided by White House/Black Market. Other activities will also be included at the luncheon. Contact the symphony office for reservations; tickets are $45 per person.

In response to a roof emergency, local roofing contractor Currier Roofing Company stepped in to help Lee BIA Builders Care to provide much needed love and repairs for a family in need, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

With no means to repair their roof, Clifford and Nancy Cooley have endured years of drywall issues due to a leak in the 35-year-old tile roof. On Feb. 11, their wish came true when Builders Care Partners and team members arrived with a construction crew to begin the repairs on their roof. Currier Roofing representatives, including company owners Ara Nell Currier and her daughter, Deborah Currier Liftig, arrived to the home with a large box of chocolates, a giant card and teddy bear to help the Cooley family celebrate Valentine’s Day as well as their recent 65th wedding anniversary earlier this week.

Builders Care is the nonprofit charitable arm of the Lee Building Industry Association (BIA). Its mission is to provide emergency repairs and construction services to elderly, disabled and economically disadvantaged people who are unable to obtain home repairs through traditional means. To date, Lee BIA Builders Care has put more than $3.8 Million in construction services back into the community at no cost to homeowners in need. Builders Care enlists the volunteer services of Lee BIA members and leverages grants and donated materials to provide construction and remodeling services to qualified homeowners throughout Lee County. . Progressive Builders Inc. has promoted David Wherry to project consultant for the professional design and build remodeling company. The Southwest Florida Roofing Contractors Association has announced its 2016 officers and board of directors. David Crowther, president of CFS Roofing Services will serve as board president.
