Cape McDonald’s crew named ‘Best-of-the-Best’
On July 17, McDonald’s Southwest Florida restaurants held their first All-Star Crew Competition. More than 75 crew members at McDonald’s restaurants from Naples up to Port Charlotte competed to see who was tops in 11 categories.
The following people from Cape Coral restaurants were selected as winners:
– 1st Place, Drive-thru Runner: Kyle Spahr
– 1st Place, Drive-thru Order Taker: Kimberlee Her-mann
– 1st Place, Front Counter Assembly: Joanna Williams
On Aug. 5, 77 of the best crew and shift managers in the Florida Region arrived in sunny Orlando to compete and be crowned the “Best-of-the-Best” at their position in the inaugural 2015 Florida Region All-Star Competition. Joined by another 150 fans and supporters rooting them on, Spahr, Hermann and Williams were all named statewide winners, taking home Gold Medals in Drive-thru and Front Counter Assembly categories.
Even more exciting, Southwest Florida’s McDonald’s organizations won the most Gold medals in the competition, scoring “Best Overall” in the region!
“I’m especially proud of Kyle, Kimberlee and Joanna for taking first in this competition, but more importantly, for their work in my Del Prado Boulevard restaurant every day,” said Tim Frederic, Southwest Florida McDonald’s Co-op president and owner-operator of nine McDonald’s restaurants in Lee County. “Their hard work and dedication are much appreciated by their fellow crew members and our customers.”
Competitors were evaluated according to the company’s Station Observation Checklist, which ensures that crew members follow procedures accurately to provide quality food and service.
