Moenkemoeller a Rising Star sales affiliate

Lucy Quiones, broker of Century 21 Birchwood International, has announced that Birgit Moenkemoeller is a Rising Star sales affiliate for 2015 based on her making the Top 100 Regional Production Rankings for Century 21. This is the first time that Moenkemoeller has earned the annual award that recognizes outstanding sales production.

Stevens construction promotes Sobeck

Stevens Construction has promoted Terri Sobeck to controller, announced Mark Stevens, company president.

5,000-square-foot addition under way

at Plaza del Sol Town Center

As part of the ongoing expansion of social and recreational facilities at the Plaza del Sol Town Center at Pelican Preserve in Fort Myers, WCI Communities has begun construction on a 5,000-square-foot addition to accommodate exercise rooms, a kitchen and a resort-style poolside bar, along with a new 70,000-gallon outdoor lap pool.

The new building will dedicate 3,000 square feet to two exercise rooms nearly tripling the center’s current space. The existing exercise space will be renovated for additional cardio and strength-training equipment.

Expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2016, the project follows the remodeling of the 55 and better adult community’s Destinations restaurant and the expansion of the card room. The 70,000-square foot, multi-building Plaza del Sol complex offers residents indoor swimming and fitness, arts and crafts studios, and a 99-seat theater.

Byas named community director

of Colonial Commons

Kelly Byas has joined the Norstar Accolade Property Management team as community director for Colonial Commons.

Situated at the corner of Winkler Avenue and Colonial Boulevard, Colonial Commons is Fort Myers’ newest luxury apartment community.

Byas has an extensive customer service background encompassing the travel, residential and publishing industries. She most recently served as account executive with For Rent Media Solutions in Southwest Florida. Locally, her career also includes serving as a sales associate with Diamond Tours and publisher of Haas Publishing Company, which produces the Apartment Shoppers Guide.

Colonial Commons includes five floor plans including one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments that range from 718 to 1,282 square feet and are available from $995 to $1,400 per month. Upon completion, 14 three-story buildings with a total of 332 units will be included in the neighborhood.

Hartsell appointed chair of Urban

Land Institute, Southwest Florida District

Pavese Law Firm partner Steven C. Hartsell has been named chair of the Urban Land Institute Southwest Florida District Council. Hartsell assumes the role of chair effective July 1. ULI is a nonprofit research and education organization representing land use and real estate development disciplines working in private enterprise and public service. A multidisciplinary real estate forum, ULI facilitates an open exchange of ideas, information, and experience among industry leaders and policy makers dedicated to creating better places.

A graduate of Dickinson College with a bachelor’s degree in 1975 and Florida State University College of Law in 1980, Hartsell joined Pavese Law Firm in Fort Myer, in 1986 and became a partner in the firm in 1990. Prior to joining Pavese Law Firm, Hartsell served as an Assistant Public Defender in Lee County and then as an Assistant Lee County Attorney, advising county departments and the Board of County Commissioners with regard to various zoning and land use related matters.
